The lifestyle footwear category of New Balance is flourishing right now, and with many of the sneaker community eyes watching its every move, it has plans to roll out many more exclusive offerings this season. The New Balance 574 has played a small roll in the brand’s 2021 initiatives via collaborations with the likes of size? and The Apartment, and now it’s being proffered up in exclusive form through Japanese retailer mita.
Inspiration for these lifestyle kicks comes from the street style of Tokyo. Various shades of blue are the focus for these kicks, the forefoot overlays and heel overlays being crafted a navy suede. Breathable mesh is present on the tongues, toe boxes and collars, all of which are filled in with a lighter blue hue. Mid-foot sections are designed with more contrasts as the overlays are submerged in a muted gray, while reflective notes land on the N logos and heels. Heel counters that are adorned with navy NB branding are also painted with a gray finish. Additionally, the the tongue and foam of the throat have been beefed up for a more substantial look.
Peep a closer look at the pair up above, and note that mita will be dropping these via a raffle that starts on August 5.
