Japan‘s sold-out stage adaptation of My Hero Academia has just teased the visuals for the upcoming “PLUS ULTRA” follow-up performance.
After the success of the “Ultra” My Hero Academia live performance in 2019, fans were eager for a second installment, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the release was continually postponed. While some may be skeptical with regards to having live-action adaptations of anime/manga, they still pull in massive sales while entertaining fans — take Fast and Furious Live for example. This gives fans a chance to see their favorite characters in a new light. This “PLUS ULTRA” Stage looks to be promising as from what we see from the first poster, the costume design is on point.
While the initial date for the opening night was set for July 17 at Tokyo Dome City Hall, further pandemic precautionary measures have now pushed its opening to December 3. It will show until December 12 before moving to Kyoto Theater from December 24 to 26.
