Converse's Stars & Bars Are Clogs for All Occasions
Choose from black or gold.
It’s clog season, and Converse‘s Stars & Bars is the one pair to see you through the season. Coming in two colorways — “Black/Egret” or “Gold/Black” — the backless mule by Converse combines a One Star upper with the brand’s All Star sole unit component for a look that’s as timeless as Converse itself.
Kicking things off with the black pair, we find an upper dressed in premium hairy suede, and details — notably the star and “bars” that the shoe gets its name from — appear in “Egret” canvas, hitting up both the medial and lateral sides of the shoe. Matching laces, a leather lining, and Converse-branded insoles round out the overall design, while an “All Star” license plate adds yet another familiar touch.
The hairy suede and canvas pop even more in “Gold/Black,” and this is the pair you should opt for if you really want to stunt this summer. The “Egret” laces and interior make for a clean finish to the upper, while a sole unit in white and a dark gum outsole round out the pair.
Regardless of which colorway you choose, we imagine the Stars & Bars looking perfect paired with wide-leg shorts or floaty trousers that sit on top of the clog, lifting up to reveal their backless design as you stride.
Both pairs are available to purchase from atmos Tokyo now in a wide range of sizes, costing ¥13,200 JPY (approx. $120 USD).
