Thanos Returns to 'Fortnite' After Three Years
The Mad Titan’s skin will be available in the Item Shop for the first time ever.
Epic Games is bringing back Thanos to the island of Fortnite after three years.
Developers announced the news on the Epic Games blog, confirming that Thanos will arrive in the Item Shop on June 26 with the Infinity Gauntlet Back Bling from Avengers: Endgame that is complete with all six Infinity Stones. Fans who can’t wait to get their hands on the Mad Titan, however, can try their luck by taking part in the Thanos Cup on June 21, a Duos competition that will allow players to participate in up to 10 matches in three hours for the highest number of points they can earn. The top-performing pairs from each region will be awarded with the Thanos Outfit and Back Bling, while teams with eight points will be rewarded with the Thanos Watches! Spray.
Thanos first appeared in-game in May 2018 as part of the crossover event with Avengers: Infinity War. Players who managed to eliminate him on the island received the Infinity Gauntlet as well as his abilities, which included super jumps, a power beam, shield regeneration and more.
Elsewhere in gaming, Pokémon UNITE is officially releasing next month.
