STAUD and New Balance Rekindle Partnership With a 327 and 57/40 Collection
The LA-based imprint gravitates towards summery hues for its newest footwear collaboration.
New Balance has captured the attention of many sneaker lovers across the world of its recent collaborations, and after recently unveiling its drab rendition with Bodega, it’s calling back STAUD — a womenswear imprint based out of Los Angeles, CA — for a fresh new partnership. The two brands have teamed together in the past on a multi-colored 997 and white and maroon in 327, both of which dropped in 2020, and now both parties have joined hands on the 57/40 and another 327 iteration.
If you just took a quick skim through STAUD’s Instagram feed, you’ll notice that many of its clothing offerings gravitate towards whimsical color palettes, and that signature design language is definitely translated into this new two-piece pack. This latest take atop the popular 327 is another one that skews towards the lighter end of the spectrum as a majority of its base leans on white side panels and dusty gray overlays. Oversized N logos are dripped in a beach-y baby blue, and sit next to royal blue heel overlays, the latter of which are debossed with a co-branded hit on the lower lateral side. Gum bottoms bring together its entire look.
Alongside this pair is the New Balance 57/40 which in this case spews of paradise-esque tones. Pastel greens touch down across a majority of this offering’s base, while the overlays that land on the heels, throat and forefoot are drenched in “Agave”. A volt neon hit is applied to the mid-foot N’s, and the bottom piece goes the more neutral route by stacking a white midsole above gray treading.
The capsule is slated to launch on June 24 via New Balance and STAUD in unisex sizes.
