After releasing two elevated colorways of the TDS 574, the New Balance Tokyo Design Studio is dipping its toes back into the realm of collaborations to for another link up with Snow Peak. Together, the Japan-based entities have engineered a two-way sandal titled the Nobium Concept 2 that’s equipped for both the streets and the trails.
Save for the olive green synthetic leather mudguards and overlays that wrap around the front of the kicks, the uppers are mostly constructed with a ventilated mesh material that is dripped in black. A duo of beige and olive straps wrap across the bridge of the foot and come locked down by black New Balance-branded FIDLOCK buckles. Much like the famed Croc clogs, the heels feature branded spoiler that allows you switch the shoe from sandal to mule — or “sport mode” as many like to call it. Down below, the easy-on-easy-off sandal is bolstered with FRESH FOAM cushioning and Vibram outsoles to provide wearers with a plush and stable ride.
Elsewhere in the world of footwear, Paperboy Paris’ fried egg-inspired New Balance 992 is set to receive a global launch.
