Relive the '90s With Prada's $960 USD Monolith Loafers
Taking the light expanded rubber sole unit from its Monolith boot.

After dropping a pet carrying bag and a dog rainjacket, Prada is back to making things for us humans — such as these Monolith loafers.
Based on the house’s highly sought-after Monolith boots, the loafers feature a distinctive lugged sole unit that looks heavy, but actually is quite the opposite. By using light expanded rubber, Prada has been able to create a sole unit that comes fitted with a 60mm heel and a deep-treaded look all while making it very light.
Elsewhere, Prada further evokes its own style from the ’90s by adding an enameled triangle logo on the vamp, sitting atop the brushed leather as a nod to Penny loafers. You’ll also find a stitched and raised apron around the vamp, while the rest of the uppers are smooth and fuss-free.
Leather insoles stamped with Prada’s metallic silver moniker and more branding embossed onto the rubber heels round out the luxurious pair. These throwback, hybrid Monolith loafers from Prada cost $960 USD and can be purchased at stockists such as Très Bien now. Take a closer look at the shoes above.
