Nike Blazer Low '77 "First Use" Boasts Yin and Yang Color-Blocking
The celebratory iteration has metallic gold Swooshes attached to the throat.
Nike‘s iconic Swoosh logo has been around for 50 years now, and to celebrate five decades of the Carolyn Davidson-designed emblem, the Beaverton company is cooking up a multi-model “First Use” Pack. Following the reveals of the expansive capsule’s Dunk High and Air Max 97 iterations comes the emergence of the Nike Blazer Low ‘77 “First Use”.
There’s plenty of details to go through on this lifestyle-centric offering, so let’s break them down. Its upper constructions receive the usual smooth leather materials and come prepared with the yin and yang look, the lateral side being drenched in “Black” while the medial panel is outfitted in “Light Stone”. Subtle hints of red peek out through the base layer’s exposed stitchings in addition to the cursive Nike branding that’s embedded into the heel which adds somewhat of a Scarface effect. Lateral Swooshes mismatch between red and royal blue, but peel off with natural wear and tear to reveal a golden layer that you see pictured here above. Other cues to point out include the stark black Swooshes on the medial sides, along with the gold plated Swoosh attachments that affix to the throat.
You can cop these right now via Nike Japan for ¥12,100 (approx. $110 USD), but if you’re located stateside you can expect them to likely release in the coming months.
In case you missed it, a third UNDEFEATED x Nike Dunk Low has emerged.
