KOTOBUKIYA Unveils 'Yu-Gi-Oh!' TCG Egyptian God Card Sculptures

Apart from Exodia the Forbidden One and the ever-popular Blues Eyes White Dragon, three of the strongest cards that were part of the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime franchise were the Egyptian God Cards. Made up of Obelisk the Tormentor who was used by Seto Kaiba, Slifer the Sky Dragon which was in the possession of Yugi and the Winged Dragon of Ra that Marik owned, the powerful trio has been morphed into sculpture form thanks to Kotobukiya.
Each of the mythical creature collectibles stand tall at just above 30 centimeters and boast insane detailing. Obelisk’s muscle-heavy figure is translated to a tee, and features sharp striking elements such as his cape-esque wings and sharp shoulder spikes. Slifer the Sky Dragon is a thing of beauty from top to bottom as it’s been recreated with its double mouth head, substantially sized wings and razor sharp claws. The Winged Dragon of Ra is drenched in a metallic gold hue, and features crazy ribbed detailing across its wings and body. A tiny teal gem is planted into the top of its head and its eyes are crafted with a piercing look.
Looking to cop? Pre-orders are now open via Kotobukiya for ¥23,980 (approx. $216 USD) a piece, and deliveries are expected to arrive in January 2022.
