Honda Australia Unveils New "Sunlight Yellow" Livery for the Civic Type R TCR
Replacing the race car’s customary “Racing Blue” livery.
Honda Australia has just unveiled a special livery to commemorate the arrival of the Limited Edition Honda Civic Type R.
The car of choice that received the “Sunlight Yellow” was the Australia Series Civic Type R TCR race car. Normally sporting a “Racing Blue” livery, the Civic Type R’s livery was changed to fit the “Phoenix Yellow” color of the Limited Edition.
The driver of the race car, Tony D’Alberto, commented, “We all loved the blue look on our Honda Civic Type R TCR, but the new yellow livery is something else. It’s really cool to celebrate the arrival of the Civic Type R Limited Edition by using my race car to showcase the new model. It shows just how much Honda values its performance and racing heritage.”
Of the 1,020 units made of the $54,000 USD Civic Type R Limited Edition ($9,000 USD over the standard model), only 20 were allocated to the Australian market. Upgrades that set this Limited Edition Civic Type R apart from the standard model include slight weight reduction, the exclusive paint job, BBS wheels, tighter steering, and reprogrammed suspension.
