With an immersive, tactile installation that blurs the line between body and environment.

Oigall Projects‘ latest contribution to the Melbourne Art Fair presents a striking departure from their previous works. For this installation, co-founder Andy Kelly led his team to reimagine the hospitality space as an enigmatic, immersive environment that challenges conventional expectations.

Serving as a contrast to their past explorations of hardness and deconstruction, this year’s concept embraced an intimate yet visceral quality. Drawing inspiration from the idea of encasement, the space was enveloped in a sculptural membrane suggestive of sinew and muscle. The result was a paradoxical setting that evoked the warmth of human presence while obscuring the boundaries between body and environment.

Oigall Projects‘ ongoing fascination with domesticity finds new expression here, merging bodily awareness with sensory experience. With a focus on movement and touch as fundamental modes of connection, the installation is brought to life by a thoughtfully curated selection of works by artists and designers, including Adam Cornish, BMDO, Brud Studia, Cordon Salon, Eduardo Wolfe-Alegría, Huseyin Sami, James Lemon and Lauren Dunn.

Through this inventive and tactile reimagining, Oigall Projects invited visitors to step inside a space that felt less like a traditional hospitality zone and more like a living organism.
