Warner Bros. Introduces the Goon Squad in New 'Space Jam: A New Legacy' Posters
Offering a look at the characters of Klay Thompson, Anthony Davis, Damian Lillard and more.
Warner Bros. has shared a series of posters introducing the Goon Squad from the upcoming film, Space Jam: A New Legacy.
The Goon Squad, which serves as the equivalent of the Monstars in the original film, includes Anthony Davis as The Brow, a character with wings like an eagle, Klay Thompson as Wet-Fire, Damian Lillard as Chronos and WNBA champions Diana Taurasi the White Mamba — her nickname in real life — and Nneka Ogwumike as Arachnneka.
The sequel’s first trailer was released in early April 2021 and sees how star LeBron James ends up in the world of the Tune Squad. He gets into an argument with his son Dom (Cedric Joe) and gets sucked into a digital by Don Cheadle‘s villainous A.I. character, AI-G Rhythm. Cheadle tells James that they must play a one-on-one game in order for him and his son to return to the real world, but he ends up as a cartoon with the original Looney Tunes (and other surprise guests).
