New Balance KAWHI Gets a Pastel-Heavy Makeover
An Easter-friendly rendition for the two-time NBA champion.
Kawhi Leoanard has been balling out this year with his 3rd seeded Clippers squad averaging 25 points and racking up six boards and five assists a game. Throughout this successful season, he’s been lacing up the New Balance KAWHI — his signature sneaker that is now adding a “Cloud Pink/UV Glo” colorway to its portfolio.
The celebrations of Easter have passed, but the design execution of this particular installment speaks to the essence of the April holiday. Spring-friendly pastels are the focus, “Cloud Pink” being the most pronounced in this instance as it pours over the mesh underlays, synthetic toe boxes and curvy patterns that rest on the mid-foot. A fresh aqua blue spills onto the heel block, while a muted baby blue outfits the toe tip overlay. Additionally, small amounts of beige come into play by landing on the collars and triangular forefoot panels, and the tongues, laces and interior liners offset with black. KAWHI is spelled out on the tongues in a faint yellow hue. Below, the midsoles are treated with a light shade of periwinkle, while the outsoles bring everything together with a pink tint.
The New Balance web store is gearing up to drop these soon for $160 USD.
