New Balance continues to be one of the strongest players in the sneaker game right now, in large part because of its lifestyle category that continues to wow fashion and footwear aficionados across the globe with striking collaborations and versatile GR iterations. One of the models that has been pushed to the forefront on many occasions this year is the New Balance 992, and after being unveiled in collaborative form with DTLR, it’s reverting back to its inline category and uncovering its clean “Burgundy/Yellow” colorway.
On this street-ready installment, the mesh underlays and buttery suede overlays that wrap across the base are swamped in a rich burgundy tone. Reflective panels — which are signature to this silhouette — land in their usual spots atop the toe boxes and collars. From there, yellow accents pop up in a few places including that of the higher heel overlays and the on the “N” logos, the latter of which have been fashioned with chenille textures that deliver a touch of elevated flair. Further contrasting can be spotted on the tongues which are dyed in an ivory hue, the laces which arrive in white and the interior liners which opt for a muted gray. Moving to the lower portion of the kicks, the midsoles alternate between white and beige paneling and feature a potent yellow block that is stationed in the forefoot area.
If interested in copping, Foot District has select sizes available now for €220 (approx. $269 USD).
