New Balance's Crowd Favorite 550 is Revealed in Three Clean Colorways
The ‘89 classic is coming in “Sea Salt/Varsity Gold”, “Sea Salt/Burgundy” and “Sea Salt/Black”.

Lifestyle kicks is an area of the sneaker market that New Balance is flourishing in right now, and one of the pieces that has contributed to its garnered success is the New Balance 550. After going on a hot streak via collaborations with Teddy Santis‘ Aimé Leon Dore imprint, the silhouette is now further advancing its in-line range with a trio of new makeups.
Each of the two-toned offerings lean on a “Sea Salt” hue to apply to most of the base layer builds, and invites in a suede toe cap overlays that is tinted to a foggy gray. On each of these takes, it’s the accents that do all of the talking. N logos, tongue and 550 branding, collars and heel molds are all filled in with either “Varsity Gold”, “Burgundy” or “Black”. Moving downwards, the midsoles are presented with a colorless aesthetic, and the outsoles are painted with the identical accenting tone of its upper half.
In case you wanted to add any of these to your Spring/Summer rotation, you can expect them to release via New Balance and select retailers come May 7. Retail price will be $120 USD a piece.
