Watch the Official Trailer to Netflix's R.L. Stine Adaptation 'Fear Street'
The trilogy will roll out over a three week period.
Netflix has unveiled the trailer to an upcoming adaptation of R.L. Stine’s Fear Street, a film trilogy. Unlike many Netflix productions that get released all at once, this project will be rolled out over the course of three weeks.
Fear Street is directed by Leigh Janiak: each movie will take place in its own time period but will center around a single horror story. The first film is set in 1994 and follows a group of teens who uncover the haunted history of their town, Shadyside, Ohio. The second film takes place in 1978, while the third goes all the way back to 1666. Director Janiak mentioned in a statement, “we filmed all three Fear Street movies over one crazy, bloody summer. It’s a dream that audiences now get to experience the story in the same way — back to back to back, with only a week of waiting in between.”
Netflix’s upcoming R.L. Stine adaptation Fear Street will premier on July 2.
In case you missed it, here’s everything coming to and leaving Netflix in June 2021.
