Karhu Celebrates Olympic Heritage With Second "All Around" Release
Continuing to honor the decathlon.

Karhu has continued its decathlon-inspired “All Around” releases, following up last month’s capsule with another pack influenced by the Olympic event. The inspiration for the series of releases was a 1939 catalogue photo of Karhu’s Olympic installation, which featured athletic equipment used for the Decathlon — or the “All-Around” as it was often known.
Updating this reference point, Karhu have used abstract and colorful designs inspired by the Memphis Art Movement of the 1980s. This is seen through pops of green, gold, pink and yellow that appear on much-loved Karhu silhouettes such as the Synchron Classic, Fusion 2.0, Legacy 96 and Aria 95.
The second “All Around” capsule is due to release at select retailers and Karhu’s web store on May 8. Continuing the Olympic theme, Karhu has partnered with olive oil producer Di Molfetta Frantoiani to create an amphora filled with extra virgin olive oil. The amphora, which will be given as a gift alongside the shoes, references the Ancient Greek tradition of giving Olympians a similar prize for winning their event.
