You Can Now Rent a Sushi Conveyor Belt
Takeout just got interesting.

After introducing a home catering service, Japanese sushi chain Kappa Sushi is going one step further offering customers a chance to rent a sushi conveyor belt.
Accompanying its pivot to takeout amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the “Rental Kaiten Lane” is designed to fit on a dining table and can rotate 15 dishes at a time while connected to a household power outlet. The rental service is available at Kappa Sushi’s Itabashi (Tokyo), Nerima Nukui (Tokyo), Kawasaki Ichinotsubo (Kanagawa Prefecture), Ikuno (Osaka Prefecture) and Minamitsumori (Osaka Prefecture) locations.
Priced at ¥3,000 JPY (approximately $27 USD) for two days, one night rental, the Rental Kaiten Lane is only available to customers that have takeout orders that come to a total of ¥3,000 JPY (approximately $27 USD).
