Bodega Celebrates Its 15-Year Anniversary With a New Balance 990v3 Collaboration
The Boston-based retailer slaps drab tones onto the lifestyle silhouette.
Footwear collaborations from Bodega have been starting to ramp up here in the first half of the year as it has teamed up with the likes of adidas for a FNF Forum ‘84 Hi, Vault by Vans for a OG Style 36 LX collab and Dr. Martens for an elevated rendition of the 1461. Moving forward to its next project, the retailer is linking up with New Balance to apply its creative touch to the 990v3 in celebration of its 15-year anniversary.
Drab tones take center stage on this forthcoming installment, the most pronounced being an olive-brown blend that sees its way to the suede overlays that attach to the toe tips, mid-foot and heels. Following close behind is a muted brown that peeks out through the mesh underlays, as well as a light beige which flows onto the perforated leather overlays planted on the toe boxes and collars. Other contrasting elements are found by way of the N logos and heel overlays which are done up in a charcoal gray, as well as the sea foam blue interior liners and subtle pops of orange that anoints the eye stays. ENCAP-infused midsoles achieve a three-toned look, and the treading given a full gum makeover.
A release date is still unknown, but expect Bodega and/or New Balance to drop these celebratory 990v3s in the coming weeks.
Previously, New Balance unveiled three 574 silhouettes in celebration of “Grey Day”.
