Top Dawg Entertainment Hints at Major May 7 Release Date
Many fans are expecting new albums from Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Ab-Soul or Isaiah Rashad.
Top Dawg Entertainment is sending fans into a frenzy after the label teased a May 7 release date for a mystery project.
Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith took to social media to share a short and cryptic video of a loading screen with the TDE logo and the date 5/7/21. “THE WAIT IS OVAH!!!!!! #TDE,” the founder wrote, but didn’t divulge any additional information as to what exactly is releasing on the date or which TDE artist it’s coming from.
Many are evidently keeping their fingers crossed for the highly-anticipated returns of Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Ab-Soul and Isaiah Rashad as it’s been a while since these four artists dropped a full-length record — Kendrick’s last album dates back to 2017’s DAMN. while SZA’s was 2017’s Ctrl, Ab-Soul’s was 2016’s Do What Thou Wilt. and Rashad’s was 2016’s The Sun’s Tirade.
