Suicoke's First-Ever Apparel Capsule Is Woven in Canada
Roopa Knitting Mills crafted cozy essentials for the footwear brand.
Suicoke‘s diverse sandal selection has guaranteed the Japanese brand a spot in many a summer footwear rotation but the brand has its plans to take over the entire wardrobe, one cozy staple at a time. In partnership with famed Canadian garment factory Roopa Knitting Mills, Suicoke is launching a selection of genderless woven garments, all crafted to high standard and realized in a variety of versatile tones.
Known for its work with brands like Supreme and NOAH, Roopa prides itself on high-end, ethically-made basics; it even operates a direct-to-consumer brand, House of Blanks, to tap into the endless demand for premium essentials.
For Suicoke, however, Roopa has cooked up a special selection of original garments, all informed by its peerless construction. Hoodies, sweaters, T-shirts, sweatpants and shorts are all crafted from sturdy, cushy cotton, dyed in a variety of monochrome shades — black, gray — or bold hues — light blue, navy, yellow and red — that pair neatly with Suicoke’s adventurous sandals and shoes. This isn’t Suicoke’s first foray into elevated knit staples, but it is the label’s debut apparel collection, boosting appeal with details like two-way zippers and hem drawcords.
All of the Roopa Knitting Mills garments launch on Suicoke’s English website May 1, with Japanese customers already able to order the goods on the corresponding Suicoke site.
Suicoke most recently dropped collaborative footwear with a variety of international brands, including NEEDLES, Beautiful People and John Elliott.
