NEEDLES' Season-Appropriate Fabrics Rework Classic Suicoke Sandals
Dropping at Nepenthes stores today.

Cult Japanese labels NEEDLES and Suicoke may only have formed a relationship recently, but by all means its efforts are fruitful. In 2019 the duo released its first collaboration, in 2020 they bounced back with a range of Geta Sandals, and for 2021 they’re back again with yet another range of sandals that are perfect for the warmer months ahead.
Following in the footsteps of last year’s drop, the NEEDLES x Suicoke sandals feature a Vibram lugged-tooth outsole that allows the pair to clip together like LEGO bricks, making them packable and easily carried around in the tote bag that comes with the pair.
The tote bag takes on the same print that appears on the sandals’ thong. These prints are exclusive to NEEDLES as they come from the brand’s collection, and include a brown pair with a tropical leaf print, a black pair with tropical florals on it, and a green pair that sports a two-tone, flipped paisley-like pattern.
NEEDLES’ logo appears debossed into the footbed and is situated between the Vibram plug in the middle and Suicoke’s stamp on the heel. Other details on the pair include a suede tab that locks the front of the thong in place, and a honeycomb pattern that covers the footbed.
The NEEDLES x Suicoke sandal collection is set to drop today at Nepenthes stores in London, New York and Tokyo, as well as on all regional Nepenthes websites. Take a closer look at the trio above.
Elsewhere in the world of footwear, the YEEZY BOOST 350 V2 “Tail Light” is due for a restock.
