Raf Simons (RUNNER)'s Sophomore Collection Is Here

Since its inaugural release last year, Raf Simons (RUNNER) has had an interesting impact on the footwear industry. While the designs are future-forward and high-fashion (making pairs a strong contender in 2020’s shoe of the year list), almost every style found itself first sell out, then restock, and then go on heavy discounts at stores worldwide. Now, the Raf-helmed line is back for Spring/Summer 2021, and its sophomore collection proves that you can get lucky the second time around.

The pack-leading Solaris-21 returns this year with a slight rework, appearing in smooth black leather or more daring in white-and-pink snakeskin. Undeniably one for those who like to stand out, this pair is then detailed with a black-and-pink Raf Simons-branded heel, an almond toe, bubble details on the upper, and a silver-toned zipper on the rear.

Following on from last week’s drop at some retailers comes more Cylon-21 sneakers, appearing in black-on-black suede, black-on-pink leather, and a white-on-white leather-suede mix, with each coming fitted with bubble details that hark back to Raf Simons’ adidas Ozweego collection.

Dual Raf Simons branding appears on the midsole, while a clip on the heel can be removed and swapped out for another color to switch things up. Rounding out the SS21 collection are two new Antei sneakers, appearing in white leather or a yellow leather and burgundy suede look.
