New Balance 550 Gets Decorated With Multi-Colored Accents
A playful take atop the retro basketball silhouette.

Since being reintroduced to the market in 2020 by way of a collaborative collection with Aimé Leon Dore, the New Balance 550 has sneakerheads swooning over its every move. Right before the Summer season kicks in, the silhouette has revealed itself in a brand new GR colorway that adheres to the “Multicolor” motif.
The build of this low-cut variation is mostly made of crispy white leathers that are situated across the mid-foot, toe boxes and the front overlays. From there, it’s the assortment of accents both dark and vivid that take center stage. The pronounced tones are the bright green and orange-red hits, the former being responsible for landing on the interior liners and the collars while the latter drops onto the N logos and lateral heel molds. Following closely behind these are dark navy notes which swathe the heel overlays and the parts of the tongue while bright yellow splashes pop up on the NB tongue/heel lettering and the 550 embellishments on the forefoot. Midsoles are lent a clean white surface and come married up with a three-toned outsole that color-blocks with green, navy and yellow paneling.
If interested, this pair is available now via eBay for $155 USD.
Elsewhere in footwear news, a dusty pink New Balance 991 colorway has been unveiled.
