atmos Reworks Dr. Martens' 1461 Shoe and Combs Tech Boot
With flourishes like colorful purple/pink detailing and extra-large heel tabs

Hot on the heels of collaborations with Rick Owens and King Nerd, Dr. Martens is teaming up with atmos for fresh takes on the iconic 1461 3-eye shoe and modernized Combs Tech boot. Using brightly-colored details and flourishes like super-sized heel tabs, atmos has given the two silhouettes a healthy dose of its signature streetwise flair.
The 1461 leads things off with an upper built from signature smooth black leather. Rich dashes of color are provided by special laces and heel piping — pink with yellow on the right shoe, purple with yellow on the left — while a clock-like graphic on each lateral heel nods to atmos locations around the globe. The aforementioned jumbo heel tabs add a little extra ornamentation, comfort is enhanced by a padded foam tonge and the look is completed by a signature Dr. Martens rubber sole with yellow stitching.
On the other end of the spectrum, the Combs Tech boot combines supple black leather with recycled “Super Knit,” a sustainable textile. It uses the same pink/yellow and purple/yellow lacing setup as its low-cut counterpart, but adds a large co-branded badge on the tongue and a striking buckle around the collar. Clock-like heel branding and large heel tabs return as well, with a clear rubber midsole rounding things off.
Look for the atmos x Dr. Martens 1461 and Combs Tech to release via the Dr. Martens and atmos webstores on April 17. The 1461 is priced at $130 USD, while the Combs Tech arrives at $150 USD.
