Dr. Martens Recruits King Nerd for Engraved 1460 and 1461 Collaboration
The designer’s signature style covers metal panels across the two silhouettes.
Fresh from debuting collaborations with Suicoke and Rick Owens, Dr. Martens has now linked up with designer and engraver King Nerd. The collaborative capsule features both the 1460 boot and low top 1461 shoe, both of which feature hits of metal detailing finished with King Nerd‘s signature engravings.
For the 1460 boot, sections of silver have been added to the toe, heel and collar, while the low top 1461 is finished with sections of gold. All of the metal areas are then adorned with engravings by King Nerd. Each of the designs on the metal plates is unique to this collaboration, while the silhouettes are finished with a Smoke DMS sole and yellow welt stitching alongside a classic Smooth Leather upper.
