Karrouhat Shares His Ramadan Aspirations in Dubai's Old Town With Lacoste
Launching its “Give For Good” charitable initiative
Lacoste has carefully curated a selection of comfortable fits in pastel hues from its Spring/Summer 2021 collection to celebrate the Holy month of Ramadan. Embracing its core message of community and belonging — values that align with Lacoste’s identity, the heritage French sports brand taps into grassroots talent within the Middle East to express how meaningful this Holy month can be for themselves and others around them.
Traveling to the old Dubai town, for this edition Lacoste teams up with UAE-based multidisciplinary creative Basil Al-Hadi aka Karrouhat. Adorned in the latest collection, he shares his vision and inspirations for the month, “I am working 24/7 throughout the year so Ramadan gives me the chance to be closer to myself on a spiritual level.” Acknowledging the seasonal silhouette needs as well as addressing the necessity of comfort and authenticity during this time, the holiday offering boasts an array of ready-to-wear garments, bags, footwear and accessories.
Coinciding with the latest release, Lacoste channels the spirit of giving by launching the “Give For Good” initiative. Created in partnership with the Saudi-based charity collective Kiswa Project and UAE-based non-governmental humanitarian charity Tarahum Charity Foundation, the initiative sets to donate surplus clothing to the less fortunate. If you’re from the UAE or Saudi Arabia, you can be part of the “Give For Good” movement by registering through their respective websites by May 13.
