Timberland has teamed up with three purpose-led communities from the cities of Chicago, London and Shanghai, in a bid to encourage people to step outside and help move the world forward.

Documented in a short film in line with Timberland’s “Nature Needs Heroes” campaign, the brand explores art, the outdoors and fashion design, alongside the three communities, all of whom share a passion for nature.

Flock Together is a London-based birdwatching collective that challenges the under-representation of black, brown and POC in the outdoor space. Aiming to reclaim green spaces and rebuild relationships with nature, the collective is built on the premise of six pillars; building community, challenging perceptions, showing the benefits of nature, championing ecological protection, offering mental health support and providing creative mentorship for the next generation through the Flock Together Academy.

Mural Moves is a family of artists based out of Chicago, who encourage communities to reclaim neighborhoods through the art of storytelling. Each of their projects is unique, such is the current climate, yet their aim always remains the same: to revive neglected city blocks and outdoor areas.

Lastly, Garçon by Garçon is the fashion label of Chinese fashion designer Dayun Tang, who partners sustainable and innovative practices with progressive design, to explore adolescent memories with pieces designed for young people and adults alike.
