The folks at Jordan Brand have now unveiled a special player exclusive for Jayson Tatum: the Air Jordan 35 “Barbershop”. This playful pair is a nod to the Boston Celtics‘ forward’s affinity for a fresh chop and how that translates to his confidence during play, and it was debuted on-court on April 17, 2021 when he matched up against the Chicago Bulls.

A majority of the sneaker is served up with neutral tones, the sultry suede overlays that hug the side walls being painted in a lighter beige while the collars, tongue and throat offset with stark black. The trio of red, blue and white accents inspired by are barbershop’s rotating pole do most of the talking as they land across the tongue tabs and pop out through the lace loops. Further details include that of the mid-foot cables that are also splashed in blue, the tiny notes of gold that attach to the Jumpman logos on the tongues and “23” embellishments towards the bottom of the throat and the heel tabs that swap out the usual Nike branding for an actual pole icon. Midsoles, including the oversized Eclipse plates are done up in white, and come placed on top of beige treading.

In case you missed it, Zion Williamson’s signature Jordan Brand collection has been unveiled.
