Build-A-Bear's 'Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Collection Sells Out in Hours
But a restock is coming soon.
From collaborating with the likes of Pokémon and the more recent The Mandalorian character Grogu (Baby Yoda), Build-A-Bear has had a long track record for working with the biggest names in pop-culture.
Its latest release sees the teddy bear maker join with Nintendo‘s Animal Crossing: New Horizons video game for the release of a stuffed Build-A-Bear Tom Nook and Isabelle plush. “We are thrilled to bring the island fun of Animal Crossing: New Horizons to Build-A-Bear Workshop,” said Build-A-Bear’s chief digital and merchandising officer Jennifer Kretchmar. “Fans of the game are sure to be transported to an island paradise and ready for fun with these furry friends. This collection is perfect for gamers and collectors of all ages!”
While the first batch has already sold out in just a matter of hours, Build-A-Bear has already updated its site with a “COMING BACK” tag, signaling a restock. Many fans were also disappointed to find that there were only two characters available out of the 400. When these restock, both versions will sell for $51 USD.
