Veilance Previews First-Ever Womenswear Line for FW21
Arc’teryx’s fashion-forward sub-label is expanding its gendered offering.
As Veilance rolls out its sleek Spring/Summer 2021 lineup, the envelope-pushing Arc’teryx sub-label is preparing something extra-special for Fall/Winter 2021. Along with another advanced menswear offering, Veilance will be launching its first-ever womenswear collection, overseen over the past three years by creative director Taka Kasuga.
Informed by what the brand describes as “original interpretation[s] of the most iconic pieces in a woman’s modern wardrobe,” the latest from Veilance appears to both share a great deal and very little with its current menswear fare. For instance, there’s some crossover in style: the new womenswear line appears to also feature the new bucket hat and a reworked Euler-style coat and the scant teaser imagery also highlights the monochrome shades that inform the new collection — don’t expect Veilance to stray from its muted color palette.
Veilance’s womenswear will be distinguished with an exclusive selection of “tailored” ready-to-wear and accessories that distinguish it from the brand’s existing designs, without sacrificing any of the technical quality that fans expect from the Canadian company. Furthermore, though there may be some overlap in the outerwear styles, the womenswear collection will of course see the brand’s signature garments recut to fit different frames.
Expect Veilance to premiere its entire womenswear offering later this year.
Meanwhile, Arc’teryx’s mainline Spring collection recently arrived at the brand’s latest New York outpost.
