Since being introduced last October,
“Dark Beetroot” uses a rich beet red over the majority of its upper, almost appearing as if it’s been dip-dyed as its suede overlays are darker than its nylon base. Swooshes and heel tabs are done up in black for contrast. On the other end, “Pollen Rise” offers a similar dip-dyed look with two shades of yellow across its top half. An extra dash of vibrance is then served up by bright aqua blue Swooshes and heel pieces. Each style’s upper regions are tied off with a fabric Nike Sportswear tongue tag and multicolored laces.
Both pairs boast a thick gray React foam midsole, borrowed from Nike ISPA‘s OverReact. This is bolstered with a translucent black rubber toe cap, and given a little extra flair with a faint dash of color on its top half, one that seems to bleed down from the upper and match the light shades on each pair’s collar. Reinforced rubber in high-wear areas on the outsole completes the look.
The Nike OverBreak SP “Dark Beetroot” and “Pollen Rise” are both set to release at retailers like atmos come April 1, priced at $140 USD.
