Bucky and Sam Argue About Androids, Aliens and Wizards in New 'The Falcon and The Winter Soldier' Clip
“I read ‘The Hobbit’… in 1937, when it first came out.”
Disney+ has shared a new exclusive clip from its upcoming Marvel series, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
Entitled “The Big Three,” the one-minute clip shows Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) arguing about talking to a certain group of people who Wilson says might belong to “the big three.” A confused Barnes asks what this “big three” entails, and Wilson answers that they are always fighting either an android, alien or a wizard.
Their conversation briefly gets off-track as The Winter Soldier sarcastically asks if his partner is fighting Gandalf, but The Falcon is surprised that Barnes is aware of who the wizard is. “I read The Hobbit,” Barnes proudly replies, continuing, “In 1937, when it first came out.” Despite the fact that they both know this piece of literature, they continue to discuss and bring Doctor Strange (portrayed by Benedict Cumberbatch in the MCU) into the mix. Wilson argues that Dr. Strange is a wizard but Barnes labels him a sorcerer, to which Wilson cheekily responds, “A sorcerer is a wizard without a hat.”
