Lil Baby's 'My Turn' Goes Triple Platinum on First Anniversary
Selling three million units in just one year.
Lil Baby is celebrating the first anniversary of his revered studio album My Turn with a triple platinum plaque.
The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) confirmed that the record had sold three million units by February 28 — the exact date that marked the one-year release of the album. My Turn first sold 500,000 units and went Gold in March 2020, then sold one million units to go platinum in May and sold two million units to go double platinum in September.
The album marks the Atlanta rapper’s sophomore studio effort and features appearances from the likes of Young Thug, Lil Wayne, Lil Uzi Vert, Future, DJ Paul, Hit-Boy, Murda Beatz, Tay Keith, Wheezy and more. My Turn gave Lil Baby his first No. 1 and became the first album of 2020 to go platinum, while its deluxe edition track “The Bigger Picture” — released in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement — is currently nominated for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song at the 2021 GRAMMYs.
Elsewhere in music, Raekwon and Ghostface Killah are set to hit the VERZUZ stage.
