Diet Butcher Slim Skin Is "REBORN" for SS21
The nearly 20 year-old label is rebranding and reformatting.

Founded in 2002, Diet Butcher Slim Skin is commemorating its two decades in business by transforming into a wholly new imprint. Spring/Summer 2021, “REBORN,” is an appropriate refresh for the Japanese brand, now known as DIET BUTCHER, channeling its legacy into a new collection of slick, genderless wearables.
Enlisting ACOUD by CHANU‘s eponymous founder as the brand’s designer, DIET BUTCHER is kicking off its restart with a selection of goods informed by the cherry blossom, both a symbol of Japan and of new beginnings. Here, the bloom’s pale tones inspire loose suiting and lounge sets, with plenty of zippers and adjustable closures to allow the wearer to customize the fit of the relaxed riders jackets, cardigans, sweaters, hoodies, jeans and sweatpants. Cherry blossoms are also printed atop souvenir jackets, collarless blazers and oversized shirting, literally wearing DIET BUTCHER’s revamped ethos on the sleeve.

Elsewhere in Japan, another legacy label turned the page on a new chapter: Issey Miyake debuted its IM MEN sub-label.
