TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheLeftEye. Pushes Boundaries With First Eyewear Drop
Inspired by the ’60s, New Wave, and James Dean.

TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist. has just debuted a new series of eyewear with EYEVAN called TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheLeftEye.
Teaming up with EYEVAN, an eyewear brand that was founded 1972, the collection sees a total of five different models of unique sunglasses spread across two different styles. The frames feature details like “left eye” branding on the left lens, star-studs on the temples, and branding on the ear tips. The two styles are called the “0000.” and the “0001.”
As Miyashita explains: The ‘0000.’ is based on sunglasses worn by James Dean and has a design that stretches to the temples so that it can be hung on the neck. ‘0001.’ has a distinctive nose design and is based on sunglasses from the 1960s combined with NEW WAVE. This style is also a homage to Japanese musicians. For clothing, you can find roughly your size, like an M or L, but for things like hats, shoes, and glasses, the sizing has to be exact. Eyewear is something like jewelry, and I think it’s an eternal and beautiful thing. Listen to This Glasses.”
These sunglasses will be on pre-sale at Shibuya PARCO’s “POP BY JUN” from February 12 – 14. Each attendee will receive a commemorative sticker. To make it extra special, the first 999 visitors will also be receiving a special book.
