sacai and Nike's Latest Blazer Low Features Alternate Suede Construction
And a crisp gray/white color scheme.
With an expansive swath of Vaporwaffle and Blazer Low collaborations in the chamber, sacai and Nike are gearing up for an eventful 2021. Now, another piece of the two’s plans for the year has come to light: yet another new low-top Blazer, one that boasts an alternate suede construction in place of the leather assemblage seen on prior pairs.
Previously-revealed “Magma Orange” and “Classic Green” colorways used loud, vivd color palettes, but this new pair opts for a simple gray and white color scheme that lets its materials and unique build do the talking. The most prominent of these materials is a dark, Nike SB-style gray suede that covers the entirety of the upper’s base layer, from the toebox to the quarter, throat and heel before finishing directly below the chopped-off collar.
Swooshes, tongues and eyestays alike are all doubled up, placing gray on top of white and — in the case of the Swoosh and eyestays — introducing leather into the mix. Multiple white rubber pieces are stacked on the heel to further play up the layered look, with special Nike Sportswear tongue branding and white herringbone outsoles rounding off the style.
An official release date for this new sacai x Nike Blazer Low has yet to be revealed, but it’ll likely make a debut this spring or summer. Info on its retail price is forthcoming as well.
