Netflix and Zack Snyder's Zombie Thriller 'Army of the Dead' Receives Release Date
The first teaser for the film is set to release on February 25.
Netflix has officially set a release date for Zack Snyder‘s Army of the Dead. Fans will be excited to hear that the film is hitting the streaming giant in March and the first teaser for the film will arrive later this week.
The upcoming film stars Dave Bautista and is set amidst a zombie outbreak in Sin City. The plot follows a group of mercenaries as they encounter zombie mayhem while trying to pull off a risky heist. Joining Bautista are Westworld actor Hiroyuki Sanada, Omari Hardwick, Garret Dillahunt, Raúl Castillo, Samantha Win, Nora Arnezeder, Matthias Schweighöfer and Rich Cetrone.
Thee film was initially announced in 2008 as a sequel to Dawn of the Dead. However the project was never brought to fruition,so Netflix acquired the title and brought Zack Snyder on board to direct in 2019. Army of the Dead marks the first film since stepping away from Justice League in 2017. He not only directed the zombie thriller but wrote the screenplay alongside Joby Harold and Shay Hatten, and produced it with Wesley Coller and Deborah Snyder.
Army of the Dead premieres on Netflix on May 21.
