'The Queen's Gambit' Finale Held as Highest-Rated Series Episode in Netflix History

After breaking various viewership records on Netflix, The Queen’s Gambit‘s finale has now gone on to become the streaming platform’s highest-rated episode ever.
According to IMDB, the show’s seventh and final episode — named End Game — scored a stellar 9.4 out of 10 from viewers, making it the single highest-rated episode of any Netflix series in the history of the streaming service. The show’s second episode Exchanges also made it onto the top three, taking third place at a rating of 8.8. Sitting between the two is an episode of Never Have I Ever, which took home an 8.9 rating.
For those who have yet to watch it, The Queen’s Gambit is a live-action adaptation of a novel by the same name authored by Walter Tevis and published almost four decades ago. It follows the life and career of Beth Harmon, played by Anya Taylor-Joy. Orphaned at a young age, Harmon discovers her incredible talent for the game of chess, gradually making her way up the ranks as a child prodigy, but scarred by her turbulent youth, her career is tainted by her ongoing battle with alcoholism and drug addiction.
The Queen’s Gambit is now available on Netflix.
