Louis Vuitton References SS19 Luggage In Latest LV 408 Sneaker Hightop Drop
Releasing a technical transparent pair alongside the 508 in purple or beige suede.

Virgil Abloh‘s LV 408 sneaker for Louis Vuitton has proven a big hit for the luxury label, and now the hightop version has dropped in three new colorways perfect for the spring months ahead.
First up is something that feels very familiar, as it sports a translucent technical material upper that’s reminiscent of the SS19 iridescent LV Keepall that’s since become a sought-after collector’s piece. The entire shoe — including the sole unit — is made from the color-flipping material and features plenty of signature house design cues all around, from Louis Vuitton stamping on the mid-panel to the Monogram Flowers on the midsole and outsole, as well as a subtle LV Monogram that’s etched into the material and seen most visibly on the tongue and toe box. Rounding out this pair is its slightly visible cream foam base and the 408 stamp on the lateral-side collar, which refers to Louis Vuitton’s date of birth of August 4.
Switching things up are two suede calf leather pairs that are coined the 508, a number that’s embroidered onto the lateral side as a nod to the first edition of this hightop pair, the 408. References from the SS19 show are less obvious but still appear, as Louis Vuitton adds a transparent luggage tag to both pairs of the shoe which can also be found on the lateral side.
Appearing in a bold mixture of purple, blue, black, and gray suede, or a more muted palette comprising cream suede and white leather, the sneaker boot is finished with the usual hand-written-styled Louis Vuitton moniker on the lateral, a large LV logo on the tongue that’s raised above the suede or leather base, and is rounded out by a technical color-blocked sole unit.
