KAYTRANADA Debuts Eclectic New Single "Caution"
Marking the Haitian-Canadian artist’s first solo release of 2021.
KAYTRANADA has dropped off his brand new cut, “Caution.”
Clocking in at two-and-a-half minutes, the track first debuted on TikTok as part of the platform’s Black History Month commemoration. “Caution” effortlessly fuses elements of funk, disco and house into an innovative mix, and its syncopated kicks, splashy snares and energetic vocal samples also explores a hotspot of Black music innovation — the block party.
“Caution” marks the Haitian-Canadian artist’s first solo release of 2021. KAYTRANADA is currently in the running for three GRAMMYs: Best Dance/Electronic Album for his 2020 effort BUBBA, Best Dance Recording for “10%” with Kali Uchis and, oddly enough, Best New Artist.
