Social Status Reveals Exclusive Nike Waffle One
The latest collaboration between a Whitaker Group store and the Swoosh.

Following closely behind the announcement of A Ma Maniére’s Air Jordan 3 collaboration, Social Status — another cornerstone of James Whitner‘s Whitaker Group — has revealed a store-exclusive Nike Waffle One. Boasting an aged, dyed aesthetic that mixes a healthy dose of DIY flair with plenty of technical materials, the new silhouette marks the latest feather in Social Status’ copious collaborative cap. It also serves as a compelling launching point for one of Nike Sportswear‘s newest lifestyle silhouettes.
Offering an overall upper shape reminiscent of the Daybreak with a double-stacked heel clip that gives off slight sacai x Nike LDWaffle vibes, this Waffle One’s translucent TPE top half has been dyed a rusty reddish-brown and overlaid with light-toned suede mudguards, eyestays and heels. Printed Swooshes are presented in faded black, and laces serve the same rusty shade as the TPE. If you look closely, you’ll also see a small orange Swoosh tucked away on the heel.
Moving lower, the aforementioned two-piece heel clip is done up in a flat silver shade. EVA foam midsoles use a weathered yellow tone that works with the dyed upper for an industrial feel that’s not dissimilar to the A-COLD-WALL* x Nike Zoom Vomero 5 “Solarised.” Time-honored black rubber outsoles with a waffle traction pattern round off the look.
Social Status has not announced an official release date or pricing information for this Nike Waffle One, but its recent Instagram post indicates that the model will be a Whitaker Group-exclusive release.
Elsewhere in the ever-eventful world of the Swoosh, the Air Force 1 Low has received metallic silver paneling.
