Stephen Curry and Devin Allen Celebrate Black History Month With the Curry 8 "Beautiful Flow"
The court-ready kicks are inspired by the Baltimore artist’s “Beautiful Ghetto” book.

Sportswear brands are known to participate in the celebrations of Black History Month every year, and one of the first companies to reveal products tied to the festivities is Under Armour and Curry Brand. Stephen Curry has tapped artist Devin Allen to co-create the Curry 8 “Beautiful Flow” – a fresh new makeup inspired by Allen’s book “Beautiful Ghetto” — a photograph collection that immortalizes the beauty of overlooked communities in his hometown of Baltimore.
Uppers bank on a pitch black hue to take care of covering the heightened mesh panels and heel counters, the latter of which is given a glossy surface. Just below this, the mudguard which hosts the sharpshooter’s logo towards the back end is fabricated with charcoal grey suede, and accessorized with orange exposed stitches that run from toe to heel. To add more BHM flair, Pan-African-inspired hits of green spill onto the tongue logos while more fragments of orange arrive via dotted patterns on the laces.
Glued to the bottom is a thin black mold which separates upper from sole, while the treading sees an all-white outer.
