ASICS HS2-S GEL-MC Plus Remixes Technologies of the Past and Future
Arriving in cool “Sea Glass” and sleek “Metropolis.”
ASICS‘ HS2-S GEL-MC Plus has been given two bold colorways: a minty “Sea Glass” and a red “Metropolis.” The silhouette is an update of the original Shigeyuki Mitsui-designed 1995 mold, borrowing some of the tooling found on ASICS’ GEL-Cumulus 17 and GEL-Kayano 14.
Most of the silhouette is dominated by mesh uppers in clean monochromatic arrangements. A stretchy ripstop pull tab is placed at the top of the tongue, complemented by round laces and smooth leather eyelet panels. ASICS-branding is prominently displayed as large stripes cover the shoe’s sidewalls and an embroidered logo appears at the lower heel tab. The toecap features a rubber honeycomb cushioning panel that offers substantial shock-absorption, while the midsole’s heel is equipped with GEL technology for added comfort and support.
ASICS’ HS2-S GEL-MC Plus “Sea Glass” and “Metropolis” are currently available on SUBTYPE’s website for $200 USD.
