Unboxing: Citizen Celebrates Captain America's 80th Anniversary with a New Timepiece

Citizen is celebrating 80 years of Captain America with a new collaborative watch. Coming through in a limited-edition box set, which also includes two enamel pins, HYPEBEAST is marking the occasion with an Unboxing video of the Super Hero-inspired offering from the watch brand and the Marvel Universe.

The packaging of Citizen’s Captain America 80th Anniversary Limited Edition keeps on theme with a textured version of Captain America’s iconic shield and maintains a luxe feel with a black felt interior. The watch’s design pays tribute to the Super Hero’s legacy and The Falcon, with their signature blue color appearing on the dial alongside three sub dials that show off recognizable iconography, including Captain America’s famous shield, his logo and the red and white stripes found on his and The Falcon’s uniforms. Staying true to the character’s own costume, the watch has a gray cordura strap with blue and red stitching and leather trim. The accompanying pins showcase Captain America and The Falcon.
More than just an aesthetic play, the timepiece comes through with a bevy of features. The watch includes a 1/5 second chronograph that measures up to 60 minutes, 12/24-hour time and date functions. It uses Citizen’s Eco-Drive technology, which is powered by any light, real or artificial – so it never needs a battery. Another element of the watch that might remind fans of Captain America’s strength is its materials, including a mineral crystal that’s impact and shatter resistant in a stainless steel case. It is also water-resistant up to 333 feet. The finishing touch is a caseback complete with the Captain America shield.
