'Magic: The Gathering' and Dumbgood Deliver a Black Lotus Capsule
Celebrating the single most valuable normally printed card in the ‘MTG’ TCG.
For its latest collaboration, Dumbgood has teamed up with Wizards of the Coast‘s Magic: The Gathering trading card game for a capsule collection. The latest special range features a concise range of streetwear centered around the nostalgia of the game. More specifically the Black Lotus card which stands as the single most valuable normally printed card in the game of Magic printed in a standard set. Despite being released back in 1993 as a member of the “Power Nine,” nine notoriously powerful cards from the original Magic print run, Black Lotus has remained a viable and powerful card thanks to its fast mana acceleration.
It is interesting to note, the Magic: The Gathering x Dumbgood capsule serves as the first time the Black Lotus card ever appeared on consumer goods. Alongside the iconic Magic: The Gathering logo, a graphic of the extremely rare and valuable card is emblazoned on a concise range comprised of a hoodie, T-shirts and blanket.
