Back in October, Magic: The Gathering announced its collaboration with Square Enix’s Final Fantasy franchise. Now, Wizards of the Coast has unveiled a first look at some of the cards from the upcoming collab.

Beloved characters from across 16 Final Fantasy games are reimagined through the lens of Magic: The Gathering. The soon-to-release card set will feature both classic artwork from the games as well as new and exclusive ones by Magic artists. In addition to characters like Cloud, Sephiroth and Emet-Selch, stories, moments as well as over 100 legendary creatures are featured across the cards.

The cards will be available in various sets, spanning Play Booster Box, Collector Booster Box, Starter Kit, Pre-Release Pack as well as regular and gift bundles. Four specific titles have also received their own Commander decks, which include Revival Trance, Limit Break, Counter Blitz and Scions & Spellcraft.

Take a look at some of the cards in the gallery above. Available now for pre-order at local game stores and select online retailers, Magic: The Gathering — FINAL FANTASY will launch officially on June 13, 2025.
