Isaiah Thomas will reportedly be signing a 10-day contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.

According to sources, the player will be signing a 10-day contract with the Lakers under the hardship exemption clause. Thomas currently plays in the NBA G League for the Grand Rapids Gold, representing the Denver Nuggets. It comes as no surprise that Thomas has been working on coming back to the NBA this offseason. In a recent pro-am game, he scored 81 points, proving that he is still a force to be reckoned with in the NBA. In his first game with Gold, he scored 42 points, which has placed him on the radar for many teams across the league.

The last time Thomas played an NBA game was in the 2020-21 season for the New Orleans Pelicans when they also signed him to a 10-day contract. In the three games he played, he averaged 7.7 points. Upon hearing the news, his peers have expressed their excitement with Zach LaVine tweeting, “My dawg back where he belong!” and Jordan Clarkson tweeting, “Yesssir, welcome back killa @isaiahthomas!!!” In the next 10 days, the Lakers face great competition with matches against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Chicago Bulls, Pheonix Suns, San Antonio Spurs and Brooklyn Nets.

In case you missed it, Tom Brady has signed 10 NCAA and newly drafted pro-athletes to BRADY apparel brand.
