HBO has officially released the first trailer for Juice WRLD: Into the Abyss, the forthcoming documentary of the late Chicago rapper. Directed by Tommy Oliver, the film goes into detail about the final years of Juice WRLD‘s life.

The synopsis of the Juice WRLD: Into the Abyss reads, “The film includes a wealth of never-before-seen footage, including several unreleased tracks, and dozens of industry interviews as it details Juice WRLD’s struggles to reconcile his meteoric rise to fame with underlying mental health issues and a growing dependency on prescription drugs.” The doc is expected to give fans a more intimate look at the issues he was battling prior to his death.

Juice WRLD died in 2019 from an accidental drug overdose. It was recently announced that his next posthumous track will feature Justin Bieber. Juice WRLD: Into the Abyss arrives on HBO Max on December 16.

In other entertainment news, Danny DeVito has revealed he is willing to return as Batman character Penguin.
