The crossover between fashion, footwear and the metaverse continues to be a hot topic of conversation and next up to expand on its digital initiatives is Fortnite and Jordan Brand who have reunited to commemorate the long-awaited return of the Air Jordan 11 “Cool Grey.” The two entities first linked up back in May of 2018 to launch Jordan-themed Cosmetics and a playable limited time mode, and now both parties have just announced all-new Outfits and Cosmetics in addition to a new interactive experience in ‘Fortnite’s Creative Mode titled Jumpman Zone.
Four new Outfits and Cosmetics make up this launch including the Hangtime Outfit (with Playmaker and MVP Outfit variants), Swish Outfit (with Crossover and Downtown Outfit variants), Air Jordan II “Cool Grey” Backbling and a Dunk Emote. All of these pieces are dressed in greyscale black, silver and grey tones to align with the shoe release.
Under the new Jumpman Zone feature, gamers will be able to venture on scavenger hunts to discover Air Jordan 11 “Cool Grey” artifacts, complete Trickshot Challenges and unlock Jumpman-inspired MVP areas.
The continuation of the ‘Fortnite’ x Jordan Brand legacy will go live starting on December 1.
